New Rite Aid Coupon Policy May 2011

Looks like the party's over at Rite Aid.  They have made changes to the coupon policy.  No more BOGO sale + BOGO coupon = FREE.  Here are some of the new policies:

Buy One, Get One Free:

A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One Get One Free coupon), although the value of the cents off coupon cannot exceed the selling price of the item.
  • Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion.
Multiple Coupons:
  • Rite Aid may accept up to 4 identical coupons for the same number of qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers within the store manager’s sole discretion.

Coupon Policy Changes at Harris Teeter - for the BETTER!

The coupon policy has undergone some changes recently. I have an email into to corporate asking when this policy will be updated online. When I get an answer, I will update this post.
The text highlighted below is copied directly from their policy:

Effective immediately, we will accept 1 coupon for any item that the customer purchases with their order.  For example, then, if a customer purchases 3 of the same item because they have 3 coupons and that item is currently under a "Buy 1, Get 2 Free" deal, we will honor the deal and the coupons.  This is also true, then, for BOGO deals.

We will accept 3 Internet coupons per store, per day.  If, for example, they purchase 4 boxes of Cheerios and have 4 internet coupons, we will accept 3 of the four coupons.  If the customer also purchases 3 boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and has 3 Internet Coupons for those, they can use those as well.  We accept up to 3 internet coupons for like ITEM, not just 3 internet coupons per order.

They will now accept two coupons on BOGO items and 3 coupons on Buy 1, get 2 free AND Buy 2, get 3 free. Yipee!!!

These rules apply to all of our coupon promotions.  No orders are to be rang up separately to allow for any coupons to be taken that would not be taken within 1 order.

Should a question arise or the system flag or not double/triple a coupon, we need to review the writing on the coupon(s) in question.  If marked "DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE", then we will not double or triple.

This statement is open for interpretation....the previous policy stated: "Coupons that state “do not double” should not be doubled or tripled.", but according to the new policy, if a you don't get a cashier that is a "coupon natzie" and doesn't raise the question, it is within their policy.  Of course, this is the way that I am reading it because it benefits me.

And....last but not least:

Harris Teeter reserves the right to limit quantities in coupon usage, as well as products and to amend our policies as we deem appropriate.
