First Day Totals for HT Super Doubles

My first visit for super doubles at my beloved Robinhood Village Harris Teeter was after work.  I usually go before work the first day, but I needed to be at work early, so I couponed all day..... in my head, of course.

The best husband on the face of the planet just happens to be mine and he happily went with me to do a transaction. Yea, I live in a fantasy world!

Anyway, my favorite cashier/customer service manager was tied up so I had to break in a new cashier, which did a great job by the way. As he was ringing up my husband's order, I was talking with my cashier/customer service BFFs, with one of my coupons friends in the next lane (thanks for the Ragu coupon April!!) Life is good.....surrounded by good coupon carma. So...hubby says "Missy" in a "look at me - we have an issue" way.  I looked and he said "It's a negative".  I quickly threw in two items from my order that actually cost something and his total was .93.

Next was my turn.  My order was non-eventful.  Below are the totals for both orders:

Retail:  $87.76
Coupons: $67.69
Vic Savings: $14.38
Total out of pocket: $5.69
% of Savings: 93%

I won't list everything I got.....mainly off the shopping list post for HT Super Doubles on my blog.  They were out of the Kraft Homestyle Mac and Cheese, but most everything else was in stock. I needed TP and hubby wanted cookies that we didn't have a coupon for, hense the "high" out of pocket.  Some things are necessary.

As usual, the employees at the Robinhood Village Harris Teeter were exceptional.  I received quick service at the checkout, even though they were really busy. I highly recommend this store to everyone.

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!

Super Doubles at Harris Teeter 8/11/10

I confirmed it with a manager at my favorite Harris Teeter this afternoon that we will have Super Doubles beginning Wednesday, August 11.

YIPEE!!!!  I guess I know what I will be doing this weekend!!!

Boy do we need it - everyone that I have spoken with has said that their stockpiles are getting really low.  Mine to!!!  Believe it or not, I had to spend ECBs on dish washing soap last week.  I was totally out!!! What is this world coming to!?!?

As usual, I will post a shopping list Monday or Tuesday.

Pop Tarts anyone?

I made a quick trip to Harris Teeter to do the Pop-Tart deal.  I couldn't let this one get away and have been thinking about it ALL day!!

Purchase 10 select Kelloggs items and get a catalina for $10 off your next order.  The Pop-Tarts are on sale for $1.09 for the 8 pack.......AND you get a $10 catalina AND there are coupons from TWO different inserts to go along with this deal.

Here's the math:
10 x $1.09 = 10.90
use 5 x $1/2 = -$5.00
pay $5.90
get $10 catalina
= $4.10 MONEYMAKER

Rinse and repeat......purchase the same as above, add $4.10 worth of items (meat and/or produce would be my recommendation), use the $10 catalina, pay tax and get ANOTHER $10 catalina.  OR, if you don't have enough coupons for the second round (and if you do want that many Pop-Tarts), use your $10 catalina and pay only .90 plus tax and get ANOTHER $10 catalina......you see where I'm going with this??

In total, I purchased 30 boxes of Pop-Tarts, two packs of hamburgers that were reduced (the ones with the seasoning already in them), three jar of Peter Pan, four boxes of the Reynolds Pop-Up foil and two creamers (no coupons for the creamer, but they are our favorite). 41 items total in three transactions.....AND I did not wipe the shelves clean.  There were plenty left on the shelf and on the endcap. I also have shared coupons with a couple of co-worker AND my bff cashier at Harris Teeter.

Total retail (including tax): $93.36
Sale: - $42.04
Coupons: -$43.76
Total: $7.56 out of pocket
Received a $10 Catalina
Grand Total:  $2.44 MONEYMAKER

Harris Teeter has some fantastic deals on reduced meat, and I was hoping to use the $4.10 that I need to roll the $10 catalina.  There was not much that I was interested in, so I went for the creamer.  It was actually a very hard decision - I needed to spend $5 in the grocery store on the spot.  Normally, Mrs. Freshleys would be a no-brainer (my family loves them and it is a special treat), but the last thing I needed to bring home were MORE items with tons of sugar in them.

Good luck to you all and let me know if you have any questions.

Have your donuts AND get paid to eat them!!!

Can the Choir of Angels sing any louder?  Free donuts AND $30 - WOW!!!  I need a moment to let this sink in........

L&E Research, based out of Raleigh is conducting a study for donuts (wanna take a wild guess what company????)   Below are more details from their website:

"We are looking for adults, age 21-60, to participate in a doughnut taste test! The test will be in Winston Salem, so we are looking for people who live in the Greensboro/ High Point/ Kernersville, Winston Salem area. The test will take about 45 minutes to evaluate up to 5 flavors and participants will be paid $30. Please forward this to anyone you may know in the area. YUM!!!"

Check out their website at http://www.leresearch.com/ and/or call Vicky at 919-872-8059. They are looking for 400 people to participate in the study.  You will have three days to choose from, August 10, 11 or 12. At this time, they are only accepting one person per household to participate in this study.

I created an account on their website, applied for the study and that evening Vicky called me.  I asked a few questions and I qualified.  How easy!!!

Since I'm getting paid to eat these donuts, that erases all of the calories - right!?!?!

Thanks Mom for letting me know about this opportunity!!!
