Here we go again....SUPER DOUBLES!!!!

For those of you who are newbies (and for those who need a refresher course), below are the "rules".

Here is the jist of it.......

• Super Doubles begin at 7:00 a.m. on the first day and run until midnight on the last day.
• During SDs, HT will double coupons up to $1.98. There is a limit of 20 coupons doubled per household (card) per day.
• HT will double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value. They will accept up to two IPS for two like items.

STRATEGY
A few days before SDs, I go online (afullcup.com, slickdeals.net, weusecoupons.com) and see what items will be free and/or that I/my family use. I start my shopping list and pull the coupons that I need from my coupon "collection" and put them in a three ring binder.  I make a list of coupons that I need to order, and order them.  They usually take 2-3 days to arrive in the mail.

Then, I fine-tune the list.  I choose what I want to purchase first - what is free/will sell out first/need/want the most.  By creating an Excel spreadsheet according to where the items are located in the store, I can shop and be out of the store and on my way to work in 15-20 minutes. 
On the spread sheet, I detail the number of items, item description, pre-sale price, sale price, coupon value, # of coupons used, subtotal for each line, then the total. I print this out, pull the coupons and put them in an envelope with the list attached. This is what I use on my first trip.

Watch the screen as they scan the coupons to make sure your coupons double. Remember, if you have an item that costs $2.50 and you have a $1.50 coupon, $2.50 will be deducted.  The screen will show: -$1.50, -$1.00. You do not receive overage.

One very important point to remember. Wait until you get to the car to yell "YIPEEE", don't embarrass yourself.....it makes those around you jealous.
