Grocery Store deals for the week of 5/18 - 5/24/11

I normally don't do the grocery store matchups when during a Harris Teeter Super Doubles or Triples event.  I am not that impressed this go around, so I thought I would see what the other stores had to offer.

Red Grapes, .99 lb
Gala Apples, $1.29 lb

Holly Farm Whole Fryers, .89 lb
This is a "need it now" price.  Stockpile price is .59.

Coke products, Buy More, Save More
 4 for .88 ea
3 for .99 ea
2 at $1.25 ea
Less than 2 or more than 4, $1.49 ea

For the major coupon matchups for Triples, check this post: Triples Matchup

Harris Teeter Sliced Mushrooms, 4 oz, BOGO at .74 ea

Boneless Chicken Breast, BOGO

Strawberries, 1 lb, BOGO at $1.99 ea

Sanderson Farms Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, $1.99 lb

Lay’s Kettle Cooked Chips, BOGO at $1.74 ea

Use the $2/2 from the Moments to Save insert from 5/01
AND the Free Sierra Mist Natural WYB Sunchips or Lays Kettle Chips, Moments to Save insert 5/01
= .74 ea
Both of these coupons expire 5/21.

I wasn't that impressed with triples either. I did get a couple things I wanted though. I went at about 10:00 am after my baby's nap and a lot was out of stock already :(. Plus my husband used the last of our printer ink and I didn't get to print all the coupons I wanted. I actually only used 17 of my 20 coupons this morning (say it isn't so!). I agree with you that super doubles is better. But I'm glad I got to experience triples.
I will go again later in the week to see if they've restocked anything.
Good luck to everyone.

I am so happy to hear about the changes (for the better) at Harris Teeter. Thank you for letting me know.

By the way... I looked but didn't see The Coupon Goddess on your list of blogs you follow. She's amazing, (just like you) and may have some additional information for you - she's also a great/fun blogger you might enjoy.

Best to you from around the corner in Winston-Salem!

Deedee..same here. I did not use all of my 20 coupons the first time either. I was digging and digging and couldn't find anything useful/worthwile to get my # of coupons up!

Janet,

Thanks for the reminder. I follow the Coupon Goddess religiously and she is the one that inspired me to start the blog. Don't know how I missed THAT one!
